First Day Procedures September 2021 Day Procedures September 2021<p>​We would like to welcome all our East Oro students back to in person learning!  The student class assignments were emailed out on Friday.  All the staff will be on the yard at 8:45 AM wearing Grey East Oro t-shirts and will have signs that indicate their name and grade for students.  Students will enter the gate by the hedge and will be directed towards their class.  We will be outside rain or shine so please have the students dress accordingly for the weather.  We can't wait to see our Eagles on Tuesday!<br></p>

Our New Front Gardens New Front Gardens<p>​Thank you to Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Iles and Mrs. Barnett for all their hard work in making our front gardens in front of the school so beautiful.  It will now be a place for reading and an outdoor classroom for our students.  Please do not run through the gardens on the weekend as we have worked hard to make it so beautiful for our community.<br></p>

Extended School Closure for SCDSB Schools School Closure for SCDSB Schools<p>​Dear SCDSB Families, </p><p>On January 20, the Ontario government announced that all schools in Simcoe County will continue to remain closed in response to COVID-19. As a result, all Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) students will continue to participate in remote learning. Current arrangements to support students in special education classes will continue. It is expected that the next decision point regarding the return to in-person learning in Simcoe County will align with the provincial stay-at-home order which ends February 10. We will continue to provide updates regarding the return to in-person learning as information becomes available from the Ontario government.</p><p> SCDSB educators will continue to provide instruction through their established virtual learning platforms and remain committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn during this extended school closure period. Students currently enrolled in the Learn@Home program will continue to attend class virtually. Closure of outdoor recreational amenities of outdoor recreational amenities<p>In accordance with the provincial direction in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the use of outdoor recreational amenities, including basketball courts, baseball diamonds and soccer fields, is not permitted. In addition, permits for the use of these amenities will not be scheduled until further notice. The use of playgrounds is permitted provided that public health measures, including physical distancing and limits on outdoor gatherings, are followed. <br><br>Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time. <br></p>
